COVID 19 Response

Hi! I’m Jennifer, owner of Claws for the Cause!
I am a Dog Trainer, Dog Walker, and Pet Sitter. I’m now offering my services to the Redmond greater area due to the unsure times.

Changes to Claws for a Cause in response to COVID 19

My promise to you is that I will treat your pet as if they were my own. You can trust that your animal is receiving love and affection every day, even when you can’t be there yourself. My promise will never change.

The changes Claws for the Cause are implementing start with service area. I have for years worked walking dogs in various Seattle neighborhoods. I will for the foreseeable future will be offering dog day care services in Redmond off Union Hill for all essential workers during these confusing times. Hours of operation have changed as well, since social distancing is a huge focus these days, I’ll be opening Monday-Friday 6am-7pm and Saturday it’ll be 8am-4pm. Drop offs will happen with no actual human contact, calls and texts to coordinate when you’ll arrive for drop offs and pick ups for human safety. This gives you time to drop off your dog and then head to work in the morning and plenty of time to chill out a bit before your dog’s pick up. Dog Training will not happen in person either, all seminars and private in-home sessions will be held via video. Homework will still be sent for seminars and custom homework will be written for in-home sessions.

Jennifer LovettWho I Am

I have a deep love of animals and have been actively caring for them since I was a child. I went pro with my first job in pet care in 2007, and I’ve never looked back! I started Claws for the Cause so that I could make a positive difference in the lives of my clients and their pets, every single day.

I got my start in individualized pet care through my passion for dog training. I went through PETCO’s Dog Trainer’s Program, and by the time I decided to branch out on my own in 2012, I had trained over 300 dogs and even trained 2 other people to become dog trainers!

As the founder and owner of Claws for the Cause, I’m excited to offer a range of pet care services that align with my values, my passion for all species of animals, and the unique experiences that have made me great at what I do.

My top priority is giving your pet(s) quality care and love. I listen to you about your pet’s individual needs, and I take my cues from how your pet likes to interact. I’m proud of the trust my clients have in me and the care I give. It’s why a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and personal referrals.

Fun and Adventure
I love planning action-packed excursions for your dog so that they come back to you happy and tired after a fun day.

Species Knowledge
I’m filled with LOTS of information about different species and love that I can offer pet sitting for a wide variety of animals. I know what it takes to work with dogs, cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, and livestock, and I love working with them all.

Special Medical Needs
I like to joke that if you can give a hamster amoxicillin, you can medicate anything. I have experience giving medicine to a wide range of species, including the small ones. When your pets have special medical needs, you can rest assured that they are in experienced and loving hands.
